2025 Georgia High School Football Predictions: Week 6

Phil Jones gives his score predictions for the top six games being played in Week 6 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season

Collins Hill at Central Gwinnett

The Collins Hill Eagles return to action after enjoying a bye last week. Coach Drew Swick’s team has rebounded with two straight wins after starting off the season with two consecutive losses. Central Gwinnett has played three games so far, winning two of the three. Their first game of the season was postponed, and a makeup date has not yet been announced. The Black Knights are coming off a big 47-0 win over Chapel Hill last week.

Can Collins Hill get their third win of the season against a Central Gwinnett squad with upset intentions?

Phil’s Pick: Collins Hill 27, Central Gwinnett 13

Roswell at Seckinger

Both Roswell and Seckinger open up region play in this battle in Buford. The Jaguars are playing quite well so far with a 3-1 overall record, while Johnathon Thompson’s Hornets are also 3-1 on the season following last week’s 50-30 win against Westlake. Roswell is in the midst of a grueling five-game road schedule, and won’t return home until October 10th. The winner of this game takes an early lead in the tough region 7-5A.

Phil’s Pick: Roswell 38, Seckinger 8

Fitzgerald at Worth County

It’s the region opener for both teams as the Purple Hurricanes travel to Sylvester to take on the undefeated Worth County Rams of head coach Jeff Hammond. Worth County has played really well on both sides of the ball so far, pitching shutouts in three of their first four games on the way to a 4-0 start to the season. Fitzgerald is coming off a stunning loss against Brooks County last week, while Worth County was off.

Can Fitzgerald get back to their winning ways this week?

Phil’s Pick: Worth County 35, Fitzgerald 14

Hebron Christian at Blessed Trinity

The Lions are 2-1 on the season, and have had two weeks to prepare for the Titans, who enter the contest with Hebron Christian after a tough loss last week at the defending class 5A two-time state Champion Milton Eagles. Hebron Christian’s last game was on August 29th, a 24-8 loss to McCallie from Chattanooga. Blessed Trinity is now 3-1 on the season against what we consider the toughest schedule in the state. This will mark the second game in a row against a defending state champion from last year. Hebron Christian won the Private Class state title in 2024.

Phil’s Pick: Blessed Trinity 32, Hebron Christian 30

Cook at Irwin County

It’s been a tough season so far for the rebuilding Indians under first year head coach Larry Harold. The Indians were winless in 2025 until last week, when they defeated Dooly County 21-12. The Hornets played at Cairo last week, where they lost and they’ll be on the road once again for a second straight contest as they make the trip over to Ocilla to battle Irwin County. Both teams have struggled to put points on the board, although Cook’s defense has played well so far.

Look for the Cook defense to be the difference in this one.

Phil’s Pick: Cook 12, Irwin County 6

Crisp County at Swainsboro

The undefeated Tigers are hosting their second consecutive opponent after defeating  Thomson at home last week. This week it’s the class 2A Crisp County Cougars and first year head coach Justin Newman. Don’t let the Cougars record fool you. They have actually played better than what shows in the won/ loss column, with the team having been in every game so far with perhaps the exception of the Fitzgerald game, a 30-7 defeat. They picked up their first win of the season last week vs Dougherty.

Phil’s Pick: Swainsboro 14, Crisp County 7
