Everybody loves a comeback story.
Last season, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow took home the Comeback Player of the Year award. As a matter of fact, he’s one of only two players ever to win the award twice.
Burrow missed the last seven games of the 2023 season after suffering a wrist injury. In his comeback campaign, he passed for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns, and both were best in the NFL.
So who takes home the hardware for the 2025-26 season? Let’s look at the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Sept. 17.

49ers vs. Saints: Daryl Johnston praises Mac Jones and injury-plagued 49ers after win in New Orleans
Christian McCaffrey is the new favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year at +180. At the beginning of the season, he was tied with Dak Prescott at +225. But after rushing for 124 yards over Weeks 1 and 2, he’s alone at the top of the board.
The 49ers star missed 13 games last year with a combination of calf, Achilles and knee injuries.
Second on the board is Prescott, moving slightly to +220 from +225. He’s passed for 549 yards over two weeks, which is good for fifth in the league.
In 2024, the Cowboys’ quarterback played just eight games before a hamstring injury required surgery.
Third is Lions pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson, who lengthened to +475 from +350 since the beginning of the season. In 2024, Hutchinson was leading the league in sacks before breaking his leg in Week 6.
Should the Colts name Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson as their starting QB?
Daniel Jones is fourth on the board, moving to +700 from +750 since Week 2 and from +2000 since before the season kicked off.
In Week 1, the Colts’ QB passed for 272 yards, with one touchdown through the air and two on the ground. In Week 2, he added another touchdown pass, along with 316 yards with his arm and another rushing touchdown.
