Risers And Fallers in NFL Win Totals Odds
The Arizona Cardinals suffered a particularly humiliating loss to the Titans in Week 5 and saw their season win total drop two full games from 8.5 to 6.5 games. None of the Cardinals next eight opponents have a win-loss record below .500 so don’t be surprised to see this number dip even further. Even after the big upset win over Arizona, Tennessee still has a 3.5 game season win total and it’ll cost you -160 on the OVER.
The Ravens dropped to 1-4 and their season win total now sits at 9.5 games (it was 10.5 last week). The problems are starting to add up for the Ravens, who aren’t 100% sure when starting quarterback Lamar Jackson will be back. The Ravens’ injuries on defense are piling up and that’s apparent in their two recent losses to the Chiefs and Texans.
Colts Gain steam after Week 5
The Colts lost some momentum in the eyes of the market after a Week 4 loss to the Rams, but a dominant win vs. the Raiders in Week 5 adjusted their season win total significantly. The Colts are now -130 to go over 10.5 wins after being -145 to go OVER 9.5 wins last week.
Indianapolis doesn’t face anyone particularly imposing over the next 5 weeks with games coming up against the Cardinals, Chargers, Titans, Steelers, and Falcons before a Week 11 bye week.
What Is An NFL Season Win Totals Bet?
Sometimes called an OVER/UNDER bet, you would need to decide if a team’s total wins would be more or less than the oddsmakers’ set number. These betting lines are generally created before gameplay starts. Sportsbooks look at previous wins, past performances, coaching moves, roster changes, injuries and strength of schedule before settling on a number.

Understanding NFL OVER/UNDER Odds
When you visit any NFL betting site, you’ll see NFL OVER/UNDER listed like so:
Kansas City Chiefs
OVER 11.5 (+100)
UNDER 11.5 (-120)
If you think the Chiefs are going to win 12 or more games, you would take the OVER. Conversely, if you think they’ll win 11 or fewer games, you would bet the UNDER. The numbers in brackets are the actual odds. For instance, if you lay down $100 on the OVER at +100 and Kansas City wins 12 games, you’d get a payout of $200 – your original money is returned along with your winnings of $100.
If you think they’ll win fewer than 12 games and you lay down $100 on the UNDER at -120, you’d get a payout of $183.33 – your original money is returned along with your winnings of $83.33.
