#23 Norcross vs. #7 North Gwinnett — Friday, Oct. 25
Norcross has hovered around the back of the state top 25 all season and now has an opportunity to make a big splash heading into the postseason. The Blue Devils are 7-1 with just one win over a top-30 team in-state. No. 7 North Gwinnett will provide their biggest challenge of the season to this point. The undefeated 8-0 Bulldogs have rolled through the back half of their schedule and now have a top-20 offense, per the Massey Ratings. The Massey Ratings predict a 34-20 win for North Gwinnett.
#22 Gainesville vs. #16 Roswell — Friday, Oct. 25
Both of Gainesville’s losses this season have come to top-three teams in the state in Carrollton and Milton. The 7-2 Red Elephants have been dominant on both sides of the ball, having eclipsed 40 points six times while allowing 10 or less points five times. Roswell enters at 7-1 and is averaging 52.2 points per game across its last four outings. The Hornets are pushing for top-10 status and will look for their second ranked victory of the season on Friday night. The Massey Ratings predict a big 34-28 win for Roswell.
#19 Colquitt County vs. #25 Camden County — Friday, Oct. 25
It’s been an up-and-down season for Colquitt County, who is now 5-3 on the year following a 35-17 win at Tift County last week. The Packers still have a top-10 offense and top-15 defense in the state, per the Massey Ratings, and are capable of going toe-to-toe with the best in the state. Camden County lost to No. 13 Lowndes last time out and is looking to duck a losing streak in its fourth consecutive game against a top-30 in-state program. The Wildcats also pack an offensive punch, though the Massey Ratings predict a 36-28 road win for Colquitt.
#6 Thomas County Central vs. Houston County — Friday, Oct. 25
Since suffering its first loss of the season to top-ranked Lee County, Thomas County Central has rebounded with a pair of 60-point offensive showings and is now 7-1 this season. The Yellow Jackets have scored 50-plus five times in 2024, though the competition hasn’t been stout. Houston County is led by Memphis four-star QB commit Antwann Hill Jr., one of the top signal-callers in the state. The Bears are 6-2 and will look to knock off a top-10 foe on Friday before finishing the season against No. 1 Lee County the following week. The Massey Ratings predict a 42-23 win for Thomas County Central.
