AJ Dillon’s mindset after NFL Year 6; ‘Blessed. Motivated. Locked in’
A couple weeks after the Philadelphia Eagles’ shocking playoff elimination, running back AJ Dillon has revealed his mindset following his sixth season in the NFL.
“Six years in. Blessed. Motivated. Locked in. 🦅” the former Green Bay Packer posted on Instagram, along with a number of photos on and off the field from the past year.

There were action shots, game-day fits, a picture with teammates Will Shipley and Ben VanSumeren, and family photos, including one of him and his wife, Gabrielle, done up to the nines, and another of AJ apple-picking with son Algiers “Trey” Dillon III.
“Proud of you 🔥 can’t wait for year 7!” Gabrielle, a lifestyle blogger and content creator, commented on the post.
It’s unclear, though, if that’ll be with Philadelphia. Eagles Wire is predicting it won’t.
AJ signed as a free agent with the Eagles in March on a one-year deal. He spent his first five NFL seasons with the Packers – the team that drafted him – but missed the entire 2024 season due to a neck injury.

The Eagles‘ first 2025 preseason matchup marked the first NFL game Dillon played since coming back from his injury. He took the field in his first regular-season game since New Year’s Eve 2023 in the league’s 2025 season opener.
Quadzilla would end up playing in seven regular-season games, rushing for 60 yards on 12 carries and catching three passes for 21 yards. He had become the odd man out after the Eagles traded for running back/kick returner Tank Bigsby in September.
But, nonetheless, AJ kept a positive attitude, practiced hard, led by example, made sure he was ready in case an on-field opportunity arose and kept the locker room vibes high, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported in mid-December.

The Eagles – who clinched back-to-back NFC East titles – would end up being eliminated in the wild-card round by the San Francisco 49ers on Jan. 11. AJ was inactive for that game.
Days after the loss, Gabrielle posted a heartfelt end-of-season tribute to her husband on Instagram.
