On Nov. 24, 2017, Oaks Christian’s Nate Lenthall intercepted an Upland pass on his own 5-yard line and returned it 95 yards with no time left to give the Lions a dramatic 31-24 victory in the CIF-SS Division 2 semifinals. Oaks Christian went on to win the Division 2 championship over Valencia the next week.
Upland held a 21-0 lead at one point in the game.
