Red Zone Report with Myles

NFL DFS Best Plays for Week 12 (Fantasy Football)

Each week we will review some of the content found in the DFS Pass and discuss some of our most confident plays heading into Sunday. A lot can change over the weekend, especially with injury news (See Betz’s Injury Blitz podcast) and roster percentages shifting who is in-or-out before roster lock time. Let’s review.

  • Locked-in Cash Plays
  • CORE Plays
  • Game Stacks We Love
  • Full-On Fades of the Week
  • Favorite Leverage Plays
  • Favorite Dart Throws
  • Boldest Calls of the Week

Locked-In Cash Plays

Borg – I really like the combination of ceiling and floor with De’Von Achane. He’s averaging 23.6 DK points per game in six Tua starts and his salary still hasn’t risen to a point where you worry about fitting in everyone else. As a receiver, he’s averaging 6.2 receptions in those Tua games and the Dolphins are more than a TD favorite at home. It’s hard poking holes in Achane and outcomes of 30+ points are obviously on the table if he breaks a long one.

Betz – The Chiefs have ruled out Isiah Pacheco, so we get one more week of Kareem Hunt in the bell cow role for the Chiefs. KC is double digit favorites against a Panthers run D we’ve been picking on all year. At $5,700 on DK, he’s too cheap in this matchup.

DraftKings Core Plays

These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.

These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.

DraftKings-QB BORG BETZ
1 Geno Smith Anthony Richardson
2 Drake Maye Geno Smith
3 Anthony Richardson Jayden Daniels
4 Bo Nix Bo Nix
5 Jayden Daniels Drake Maye

Spending down at the QB position isn’t just en vogue this week… it’s what DraftKings gave us: cheap QBs. Everyone is $7K or below making it easy to spend in the $5K range. Geno Smith feels like the safest of the group (although there are slight rain concerns) while Anthony Richardson’s rushing floor certainly is in play. While we toyed with the idea of playing Tommy DeVito on the podcast, the weather (windy) + Malik Nabers status makes us pause from being too bullish on the Italian wonder-kid. Honestly, if you just wanted to play it safe, spending a little more for Bo Nix makes sense if you have the extra salary.
