NFL Week 3 Point Spread Predictions – Lines, Betting Odds and Predictions for Every Week 3 Game
Dolphins heading into Orchard Park as massive underdogs against the Bills in week 3!
It’s already time for week 3 of the NFL season. With two games under their belt, teams will now look to hit their stride. Week 2 saw some outright blowouts and some closely contested battles, but perhaps the biggest talking point of the week was the Joe Burrow turf toe injury that has him sidelined for the upcoming 3 months.
Nevertheless, football goes on, and in week 3, we will have plenty more exciting games to look forward to, starting with the Miami Dolphins visiting their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills, on Thursday Night Football (TNF).
Week 3 Prime-Time Games
Week 3 will be the first time this season that we have only three prime-time games. The week starts with the TNF game between the Bills and the Dolphins, followed by Sunday Night Football (SNF) between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants.
And, Monday Night Football (MNF) will bring week 3 to an end as the Detroit Lions take on the Baltimore Ravens in a game that could light up the night in Baltimore.

NFL Week 3 Spreads
Looking at the spreads for week 3, the Bills are massive 11.5-point favorites over the Dolphins, as are the Green Bay Packers, who are 8.5-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns. The Seattle Seahawks are the third team to be favored by a touchdown or more in their matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Many games are expected to be close affairs, such as Patriots against Steelers, Jaguars against Texans, 49ers against Cardinals, and Bears against Cowboys. All of these games have a spread of +/- 1.5.

Moneylines and Betting Odds for Week 3
The moneyline for week 3 also has the Bills as huge favorites against the Dolphins at -850 and the Packers at -420 over the Browns. As for the highest over/under, that goes to the MNF game between the Lions and Ravens, and the over/under for total points is set at 51.5.
With that, let us take a look at the betting odds as per FanDuel for all week 3 matchups, along with the predictions.
Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins
Buffalo is on a tear early in the season, winning both of their games. Josh Allen and James Cook have looked great as each has put in tremendous performances. On the other hand, the Dolphins are struggling to find any sort of rhythm on either side of the ball.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Buffalo Bills | +590 | +11.5 (-106) | O 49.5 (-118) |
Miami Dolphins | -850 | -11.5 (-114) | U 49.5 (-104) |
Prediction: Bills to win
Las Vegas Raiders vs Washington Commanders
Both teams are 1-1 to start the season, but the Commanders have more upside. The offense hasn’t clicked as last season, but Jayden Daniels is still looking impressive. The Raiders are a rebuilding team, having undergone several changes in the offseason. After a good win over the Patriots in week 1, they were humbled by the Chargers in their last game.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Las Vegas Raiders | +156 | +3.5 (-110) | O 44.5 (-110) |
Washington Commanders | -186 | -3.5 (-110) | U 44.5 (-110) |
Prediction: Commanders to win and cover the spread
Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers
Despite their 1-1 record, Atlanta has played well in both of their games so far. They came close to forcing overtime in week 1 against the Buccaneers, but a missed field goal handed them a loss. However, last week they dismantled the Vikings and could do the same to the Panthers. Carolina’s struggles continue this year as well with losses to the Jaguars and Cardinals.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Falcons | -245 | -5.5 (-110) | O 43.5 (-105) |
Carolina Panthers | +200 | +5.5 (-110) | U 43.5 (-115) |
Prediction: Falcons to win and cover the spread
Green Bay Packers vs Cleveland Browns
Green Bay is certainly one of the teams to watch out for this year. They are off to a rolling start, and that defense is going to be a problem for many teams this season. As for the Browns, there really isn’t much of a chance, and they look set to fall to 0-3 after their game against the Packers.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Green Bay Packers | -450 | -8.5 (-105) | O 41.5 (-110) |
Cleveland Browns | +350 | +8.5 (-115) | U 41.5 (-110) |
Prediction: Packers to win

Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots
The Steelers’ week 1 game against the Jets had Aaron Rodgers throwing 4 touchdowns. There was plenty of excitement for the upcoming weeks, but they fell flat in week 2 against the Steelers. New England, on the other hand, is also 1-1, but the edge would go to Pittsburgh in this one.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Pittsburgh Steelers | -130 | -1.5 (-115) | O 44.5 (-104) |
New England Patriots | +110 | +1.5 (-105) | U 44.5 (-118) |
Prediction: Steelers to win and cover the spread
Los Angeles Rams vs Philadelphia Eagles
It’s a battle between two undefeated teams. The Rams have pulled off a couple of good wins, but they haven’t yet faced the top-tier competition. Wins against the Texans and the Titans are not worth raving about when going up against the defending Super Bowl champions.
The Eagles, though, have pulled off wins over the Cowboys and Chiefs, but both were close games that could have gone either way. Philadelphia is the favorite, but it might be another close game for the Eagles.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams | +148 | +3.5 (-120) | O 44.5 (-112) |
Philadelphia Eagles | -174 | -3.5 (-102) | U 44.5 (-108) |
Prediction: Eagles to win
Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans
Surprise, surprise! For all the talk about the Colts and their precarious quarterback battle in the offseason, Daniel Jones has won the starting job, and it’s not difficult to see why. The Colts are 2-0 with wins over the Dolphins and Broncos. A similar showing could easily see them start 3-0 after the Titans game.
Tennessee, on the other hand, is still struggling to gain any momentum. With losses against the Broncos and the Rams, this week 3 divisional game carries a lot of importance in the grand scheme of things.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Indianapolis Colts | -190 | -3.5 (-115) | O 43.5 (-106) |
Tennessee Titans | +160 | +3.5 (-105) | U 43.5 (-114) |
Prediction: Colts to win and cover the spread
New York Jets vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Jets came so close to pulling off a win over the Steelers in week 1, and that got fans all excited. But in week 2, they were brought back to reality as the Bills demolished them and quarterback Justin Fields suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter.
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are once again looking like the team to beat in the NFC South. Tremendous performances all around, and an exceptional start by rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka has the Buccaneers starting 2-0. But mind you, both their games were close wins over the Falcons and the Texans.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
New York Jets | +250 | +3.5 (-120) | O 44.5 (-105) |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | -310 | -3.5 (-102) | U 44.5 (-115) |
Prediction: Buccaneers win
Cincinnati Bengals vs Minnesota Vikings
It’s the battle of the backups in this one as both starting quarterbacks, Joe Burrow and J.J. McCarthy, are out of the game. The Bengals are 2-0, and backup Jake Browning played well once Burrow left early in the week 2 game, but he will be up against veteran Carson Wentz on the other side. The Vikings are yet to show the same offensive production they had last season, but much of that could be due to McCarthy playing his first couple of games in the NFL.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Cincinnati Bengals | +132 | +3 (-110) | O 42.5 (-104) |
Minnesota Vikings | -156 | -3 (-110) | U 42.5 (-118) |
Prediction: Bengals to win
Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Texans have started this season on the back foot and are currently 0-2 with losses against the Rams and the Buccaneers. While the defense hasn’t been bad, it’s the offense that hasn’t been able to function at a higher level.
As for the Jaguars, they are 1-1, but their week 1 win came against the Panthers, while they managed to lose to the Bengals team with Jake Browning under center for the majority of the game.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Houston Texans | +102 | +1.5 (-115) | O 43.5 (-115) |
Jacksonville Jaguars | -120 | -1.5 (-105) | U 43.5 (-105) |
Prediction: Texans to win

New Orleans Saints vs Seattle Seahawks
The Saints are supposed to be a rebuilding team, and their quarterback situation is a problem. That said, Spencer Rattler hasn’t been too shaky, but overall, as a team, they need to play better. Both their losses have come at the hands of the NFC West opponents, the Cardinals and the 49ers. In week 3, they will see their third team from the NFC West.
The Seahawks may have lost the season opener against NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, but they bounced back with a dominant win over the Steelers in week 2. The defense caused Aaron Rodgers all sorts of problems, while the receiver duo of Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp showed promise.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
New Orleans Saints | +290 | +7.5 (-115) | O 41.5 (-105) |
Seattle Seahawks | -360 | -7.5 (-105) | U 41.5 (-115) |
Prediction: Seahawks to win and cover the spread
Denver Broncos vs Los Angeles Chargers
An AFC West showdown between the Broncos and Chargers will be one for early supremacy. At 1-1, the Broncos looked shaky in their season opener, and had won the game against the Colts in week 2, but for the penalty during the field goal, which made things way easier for Indianapolis.
The Chargers will be playing their third divisional opponent, having already won against the Chiefs and the Raiders. Jim Harbaugh and his team look like the real deal and could end up taking the AFC West this season.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Denver Broncos | +134 | +2.5 (-102) | O 45.5 (-110) |
Los Angeles Chargers | -158 | -2.5 (-120) | U 45.5 (-110) |
Prediction: Chargers to win and cover the spread
Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers
A clash amongst the NFC West teams as the Cardinals go up against the 49ers. Arizona is 2-0 to start the season, but this game will be their first real test. Their previous two games were against the Saints and the Panthers, so nothing much to talk about here.
The 49ers have found ways to win both their games despite multiple injury woes. They are already missing Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Brock Purdy, but have wins over the Seahawks and the Saints.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Arizona Cardinals | +102 | +1.5 (-112) | O 43.5 (-110) |
San Francisco 49ers | -120 | -1.5 (-108) | U 43.5 (-110) |
Prediction: 49ers to win and cover the spread

Dallas Cowboys vs Chicago Bears
Dallas lost its season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, but that game was much closer than it should have been. That gave hope to America’s team, but then in week 2, they went to overtime against the Giants, and despite winning, questions are being raised, especially around a defense sans Micah Parsons.
Caleb Williams and the Bears were leading in the fourth quarter until they let the Vikings back into the game to eventually go on and win it. Then in week 2, they came up against the mighty Detroit Lions and got shredded in the process to the tune of 52-21 in Ben Johnson’s return to Ford Field.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Cowboys | -102 | +1.5 (-115) | O 50.5 (+100) |
Chicago Bears | -116 | -1.5 (-105) | U 50.5 (-122) |
Prediction: Cowboys to win and cover the spread
Kansas City Chiefs vs New York Giants
The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in unfamiliar waters as they are 0-2 for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. Down key receivers, an aging tight end in Travis Kelce, and a non-existent running game mean it is currently a one-man show on the offense as Mahomes continues to make magic happen.
The Giants are also 0-2 to start this year with losses against AFC East rivals, the Commanders and the Cowboys. If the first game was a blowout, the second one was very close. Russell Wilson balled out with 450 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, but the defense let them down.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Kansas City Chiefs | -270 | -5.5 (-118) | O 44.5 (-115) |
New York Giants | +220 | +5.5 (-104) | U 44.5 (-105) |
Prediction: Chiefs to win
Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens
This should be the game of the week. Two explosive teams could result in a dog fight towards the end. The Lions suffered a shock loss in week 1 against the Packers, not because it was against Green Bay, but in the manner in which they lost. But week 2 was a demolition display of the Bears, and all is well in the Motor City once again.
And then there is Baltimore. Two excellent games, but they gave up a large lead in the fourth quarter to Josh Allen and the Bills in week 1. Week 2 was completely different as they annihilated the Browns. This sets up a truly exciting clash, but one that has the Ravens as the favorites at -5.5.
Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
---|---|---|---|
Detroit Lions | +200 | +5.5 (-112) | O 51.5 (-115) |
Baltimore Ravens | -245 | -5.5 (-108) | U 51.5 (-105) |
Prediction: Ravens win
Week 3 is sure to bring plenty of fun. For some teams, it will be a crucial week, lest they fall to 0-3 after which it will be quite difficult to salvage the season. There are also some interesting divisional battles to look out for as the season starts to take shape in week 3.
