Travis Hunter’s reaction says it all after Trevor Lawrence’s unbelievable finish

The Jacksonville Jaguars are showing signs of real progress in 2025, already matching last season’s win total at 4-1 after a thrilling 31-28 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.

Trevor Lawrence’s defining moment earned him a new nickname

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence delivered a signature moment in the game – a late, scrambling touchdown run that capped a dramatic comeback drive and sealed the win on his 26th birthday. The Jaguars were trailing with just over a minute left in the game, and what made the play even crazier is that it looked like Lawrence was about to botch the play.

He got tripped up, fell on the ball, got back up, and then ran the ball into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

Rookie sensation and dual threat wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, who also made a highlight-reel 44-yard catch, dubbed the quarterback “Touchdown Trevor” after the game.

“I was running my route. I went into motion, and then by the time I looked back, I’ve seen him on the ground,” Hunter said after the game. “So I look back and I look back again. He was up running. I was like, ‘Oh, touchdown!’”

Hunter also happened to make history during the game, becoming the first NFL player in 20 years to start on both offense and defense. With Lawrence’s leadership and Hunter’s emerging star power, Jacksonville’s resurgence is starting to feel real.
