Former Louisville football star and current Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson‘s season may be over but his efforts from the NFL regular season could still bring home some major hardware.
The NFL MVP race has Jackson vying for his third MVP award after leading the Ravens to an AFC North title. However, another MVP frontrunner ended Jackson’s playoff run when Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills handed Baltimore a divisional playoff round loss on Sunday.
Jackson is the first quarterback in NFL history to surpass 4,000 passing yards and 900 rushing yards in a single season.

The NFL MVP will be revealed during the NFL Honors ceremony at the Saenger Theater on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025. The winner will be announced ahead of Super Bowl 59, which will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The NFL MVP finalists were released today, Jan. 23, 2025. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson are among the five finalists.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won the 2024 Pro Football Writers of America NFL MVP award, tying him with Tom Brady for second-most PFWA NFL MVP wins with 3. Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers have each won the award four times.
At 27 years old, Lamar Jackson became the second-youngest player to win multiple MVPs. He led the Ravens to the best record in the NFL, 13-4, beating 10 teams with records at .500 or better. Jackson passed for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns in addition to rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.
