2025 NFL Draft behind the scenes: Patriots pick OT Will Campbell

Entering the 2025 NFL Draft in possession of the fourth overall pick, the New England Patriots were in prime position to add some blue-chip talent to a roster very much in need of it. And indeed, they did so: once they were on the clock they wasted little time to bring LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell in, addressing what was arguably the biggest need on their roster.

The Patriots had a camera crew on hand to capture the moment they made the call to Campbell. The behind-the-scenes video subsequently shared on the Patriots’ social media channels on Thursday night saw college scouting director Camren Williams calling the 21-year-old, as well as EVP of player personnel Eliot Wolf, head coach Mike Vrabel, and team owner Robert Kraft addressing him on the phone.

“We’re happy as hell. We’re excited for you,” Vrabel told Campbell. “Make sure you thank everybody that helped you get here — parents, family, your girl. You got a great story.”
