Anthony Richardson injured, Pete Carroll returned to Seattle on opening night of NFL preseason

Aidan O’Connell is no longer in the running for the Raiders’ starting quarterback job, but he saw the majority of snaps for Las Vegas tonight after taking over for starter Geno Smith following the Raiders’ first offensive series. (Smith went 1-for-3 with 15 passing yards).

O’Connell scuffled quite a bit against, largely, the Seahawks’ backups before finding his footing a bit more in the second half as Seattle went deeper into its depth chart.

Still, going 18-for-30 with 205 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions isn’t exactly going to leave anyone too thrilled at his performance tonight — especially after Cam Miller’s sterling debut that Tashan Reed chronicled below.
