Travis Hunter ‘Blowing’ Away Teams in Combine Meetings Ahead of 2025 Draft

Travis Hunter had one of the most impressive individual college careers in recent memory at Colorado, and he’s also impressing NFL teams off the field.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Hunter has drawn rave reviews from interested teams at this week’s NFL combine.
“By the way, even just the character and all that stuff that teams are learning about him in these meetings, I’ve been hearing he’s been blowing them away,” Russini said on the Scoop City podcast. “He’s just a really good guy.”
Hunter, who began his career at Jackson State and finished at Colorado, had 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season with the Buffaloes. On the defensive side, the two-way star racked up 36 tackles, four interceptions, 11 passes defended and a forced fumble.
It’s unclear whether he will play wide receiver, cornerback or both in the NFL, though he expressed interest in continuing to play on both sides of the ball.
“I’d like to play both sides of the ball,” Hunter told reporters at the NFL combine. “If they give me the opportunity to play both sides of the ball, I’m going to play both sides.”
Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department projects the Jacksonville Jaguars to take Hunter with the fifth overall pick in the upcoming draft. If he continues to impress in his interviews, Hunter could hear his name called even sooner.
